Server-side tracking without the hype
What server-side tracking can really improve, what it cannot fix, and when the investment makes sense.
A cleaner delivery layer
Server-side tracking gives you more control over how events are validated, enriched, and sent onward. It can improve reliability and reduce unnecessary browser requests, but it does not magically create consent or recover every blocked signal.
Quality comes before quantity
A strong setup deduplicates browser and server events, protects personal data, monitors failures, and uses stable identifiers responsibly. Sending more events is not useful when the payload is inaccurate.
When it earns its keep
The best candidates have meaningful ad spend, enough conversion volume, and a team ready to own the infrastructure. Start with a clear measurement gap, then prove the uplift instead of implementing technology for its own sake.
